I created this piece from my original photograph, choosing to soften and break up the sharp lines of the scene rather than reproduce it exactly as it was. By doing this, I wanted to move away from strict realism and instead create a more immersive, timeless landscape. The softened forms allow the dramatic skies to breathe against the colourful patchwork of the surrounding fields, while naturally drawing the eye down towards the few people glass collecting or enjoying a walk along the waters edge. Removing hard detail strips away the sense of a fixed moment, inviting the viewer to linger, explore and let their imagination fill in the story. The result is a calm yet powerful interpretation of the Cornish coast, where land, sky and sea work together to evoke nostalgia, space and quiet drama. The viewers imagination can take them back to a time when Pentewan was a thriving harbour port...

Full description
A digitally derived digital art print of Pentewan Beach looking from the old harbour across the sandy beach towards the cliffs in the direction of Mevagissey, Cornwall.
The artwork began as an original photograph taken by me before being carefully digitally edited to create the finished artistic effect.
Printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme Professional Paper with a Lustre Finish, each print is produced to order to ensure excellent colour, sharp detail and long-lasting quality. Prints are carefully packaged prior to posting.
If a print is temporarily out of stock it may be printed and dispatched directly from my professional photographic lab.
