About this item

Materials

Glass, Copper Wire, Solder, Copper foil, Stained glass

Made in

Horsham, West Sussex

Description

Maple leaf suncatcher made in shades of red glass by Carole's Glass. I love the autumn season when all the trees are changing colour and what better than to have your own autumnal coloured maple leaf. These have been made from a selection of different types of red stained glass. Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, washed, foiled and soldered together before being washed again. I have applied a patina to blacken the solder and then polished. Plwae note the leaf on the right has now sold. Twisted tinned wire has been used for the stalks with the ring at the end for hanging purposes. This suncatcher measures 18cms wide x 16.5cms high, excluding the wire stalk. Both leaves have been made using the same glass just placed differently. You will be asked to state which leaf you'd like when adding to the basket. I will supply a window hook so you can hang it up as soon as received. I normally post the following working day and this will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature. Please note as made from glass if dropped it may break causing sharp edges so care should be taken. These are not toys so keep out of the reach of children.

A note from the seller

Please note Royal Mail have increased their postage costs yet again. I send all my suncatchers through Royal Mail using Tracked 24 with/without signature and in some instances, depanding on value, Royal Mail Special Delivery. I have always found their service to be reliable and generally arrives the following day however I appreciate they are getting very expensive, so if you would prefer I can send using Tracked 48. Please contact me if you would like this option and note this will take longer to be delivered by Royal Mail. If you would like me to post your parcel by Special Next Day Delivery which SHOULD ensure it arrives the following working day by 1.00pm please see my listing under ‘Postage Upgrade’. Please be aware that I will do my best to post the same day but cannot guarantee this will happen - the listing gives more information. If you are buying an item as a present and would like it sent direct I am more than happy to gift wrap and include a message, just let me know what you want to say and make sure you confirm the recipients address. I normally post ready made items the next working day. If you see something you like but would prefer in a different colour just drop me a message as I am more than happy to make to your requirements.

The seagull and snail pieces I ordered are fantastic! The seagull in particular is very charming. They also arrived carefully packaged. My friend was very happy with her gift.
