About this item
A ornamental vessel This series of wood turned bowls focuses on the Japanese aesthetic Wabi sabi which finds the beauty of imperfections, irregularity and natural flaws With this philosophy I have created these bowls using interesting timber that has certain cracks, splits and other unique imperfections They are finished with linseed oil to show off the grain shape and colour The timber was sourced from a fallen orchard apple tree in Herefordshire The grain pattern was too good to burn so I was able to turn these bowls Applewood with Under Notch 17 x 7cm Applewood with Duo Chip 18 x 8cm Applewood with Bark Edge 16 x 8cm
