My work is inspired by a smelting pot of nature, folklore and pagan ways as well as the Medieval and Celtic aesthetic synonymous with the Arts & Crafts movement.

Besom lore:
Steeped in tradition, the besom is an essential witch's tool to spiritually cleanse a space (deosil/clockwise) or banish evil (widdershins/anti-clockwise) by sweeping away negative spirits from the home. Hang one by your door for good luck and protection against unwanted visitors! Regarded in many cultures as a symbol of balance or fertility (wood shaft representing male energy; bristles representing female energy), the besom is a regular addition to handfasting/wedding ceremonies where 'jumping the broom' denotes the act of transitioning from a current life into a new life together. Clearing the besom without touching it is seen as good fortune, a 'clean sweep' for your married life together.
Bespoke besom are available for handfasting and house-warming gifts. I can add alternative charms and can bind the shaft in coloured wire to match your wedding colours as desired. Just message me to discuss your witchy wedding needs!
