Thank you for popping into my shop! I’m a retired Graphic Designer, but thankfully I haven’t retired from being creative. I still love the process of making things, experimenting with colour, pattern and texture, and giving new life to all sorts of materials.
You’ll find a colourful and eclectic mix of handmade pieces in my shop, with birds and flowers featuring strongly throughout. I particularly enjoy combining unexpected materials, patterns and colours to create unique mixed-media pieces — so there’s always something a little different to discover.
I’m also a big believer in happy postage! If you find more than one item you’d like, I ALWAYS combine postage and refund any excess. I know it can be a little alarming to see the postage total increase as you add items to your basket, but please don’t worry. I’ll package your purchases together and refund the excess postage on the same day your order is dispatched.

There's nothing quite like finding a warm, comfortable chair and settling down for a snooze - and this one-of-a-kind, hand-stitched textile artwork celebrates that very familiar feline habit.
A handsome ginger tabby is curled up contentedly in a stone-coloured armchair, his head resting on a deep burgundy cushion and his paws nestled into a cosy tartan blanket. The scene was inspired by our Westie's habit of making a beeline for any chair that's been temporarily vacated, claiming the warm spot as his own!
The ginger cat has been painted onto cotton using layers of inks and acrylic paints, creating subtle variations and highlights in his fur. I've added embroidery threads to bring texture and definition to his coat, along with delicate shimmery metallic whiskers for a playful touch of sparkle.
The armchair and cushion have been made from furnishing fabric remnants, while the cosy plaid blanket adds another layer of warmth and texture, complete with little tassels.
There's something wonderfully relatable about a pet discovering the perfect spot and settling in as though they own it - and this sleepy tabby looks very much at home!
With its warm colours, cosy fabrics and gentle humour, this is a charming piece of handmade textile art and a lovely, quirky gift for any cat lover.
And if you're sending it as a gift, I've also made a matching gift tag to accompany it.
The artwork is backed with acid free mount board and comes in a good quality double mount. Outer measurements are 10 x 8 inches. Visible area 7 x 5 inches. It is titled and signed on the reverse.
