Cornish surfite earrings - teal and copper

These striped earrings feature drops of Cornish surfite which has been bezel set in sterling silver and finished off with a simple sterling silver hook. The surfite has vertical stripes in shades of teal and rose gold with a little bit of creamy white, unusually there are some sparkles in these layers (I think they were doing a custom board and trying to get the right shade of sparkly rose gold hence the multiple layers of similar colours). These dangle earrings measure 48mm (from top of the hook) by 18mm but surfite is lightweight so despite the size they are not heavy. Comes gift boxed. The surfite comes from Cornwall and is a build up of cured resin that forms during surfboard manufacture making these earrings a great gift for a surfer. I cut this particular material myself and you can see the original block and a work in progress shot in the photos (the rough isn't included), the rough material came from Toy Factory Surfboards in Newquay, Cornwall. Love the idea of surfite but want something different then drop me a message - I've got plenty of the rough left!
