The next craft fair I will be attending with 'A Little Pot of Yarn' crochet creations by Rachel, is on Sunday May 10th in Hedon for the Create and Craft event.
I love the retro elegance of cravats, bow ties and ascots and so wanted to recreate them but using fabrics that were more modern or alternative. The flowers and butterflies, and tiny leaf sprigs on a vintage scarf I'd had in my stash for a long time seemed perfect to create something elegant and almost timeless. These can be worn in various ways and can elevate an outfit to something special!

Full description
This beautiful cravat began life as a vintage, silky fabric scarf.
The purple has a lovely sheen, and sprigs and dots in the pattern blend beautifully with the floral and butterfly motif. This would look elegant with a collared shirt or peeking over the top of a cardigan. Wear loosely tied, or fastened more formally with a pin.
Alternatively, fasten around the head and use a stylish hair tie to keep your hair back or add a touch of retro glamour to your look!
Dimensions; 85 cm long, cravat point 15 cm wide, 5cm wide band.
Wash on 30, preferably hand wash, air dry and iron as silk so that you don’t melt it.
