I wanted to try something new by creating jewellery in mixed materials. I found a flower was really well suited to the use of of a variety of materials. Hand-painted silk could be very effective in recreating the colour and softness of petals and enamels applied to give impression of depth to the centre of the flower.

Full description
A pretty colourful mixed media Daisy-shaped brooch made in hand-painted silk and felt with an enamelled copper centre. The brooch measures approximately 8cm in diameter. The fabric base has a felt backing cut in a daisy design slightly larger than the hand-coloured salt-effect silk flower shape it supports. Hand-stitching adds detail to the petals. The central copper disc measures 16mm in diameter and each one is individually enamelled in bright complementary coloured dots on black to suit the tones in the silk. There are 9 brooch colours to choose from (as shown in the collage image). Please click on 'Variations' Button to see colour range.'Bright Mix' the one in the main picture.
Each brooch has a silver-plated brooch pin is sewn on the back. The Daisy brooch will be sent in gift packaging in an outer card postal box by Royal Mail 'Tracked' postage..
