I have included some production pictures which show a different pattern of rag rug but was on the same run as this rug - I make several rugs on the same warp as the warp takes a long time to set up. I really enjoy working on my Antique Loom making these wonderful rag rugs. When cutting the fabric, you never know how it is going to come out when it is finally put into the loom - so exciting.
Making these rag rugs is part of my way of giving back to the planet. Rag rugs were always part of history, the make do and mend. Historically cloth was always recycled and a lot of the time that recycling involved making rugs. I love being part of this history.

Full description
There is a calm, enduring sophistication in a classic monochrome palette. Handwoven on a traditional loom using a strong natural cotton warp, this Black, Grey, and White rag rug gives rescued textiles a purposeful, contemporary new life. Each band of fabric is carefully torn and beaten into place from upcycled cotton bed sheeting, creating rhythmic bands of bold charcoal black, soft heather grey, and crisp white.
Measuring approximately 75 cm by 41 cm (29.5" x 16"), this compact textile piece is wonderfully versatile across the home. Place it beside your bed to greet your feet each morning, in front of a bathroom vanity, at the kitchen sink, or laid flat along a rustic dining table or sideboard as a striking, tactile runner. Due to its flexible, lightweight weave, it is equally lovely folded into the car for an impromptu park sit-mat or lawn picnic.
Beyond its clean, modern aesthetic, it is made for real everyday life. Handcrafted from pure upcycled cotton, it can simply be machine washed on a gentle 30°C cycle (or hand-washed) and pegged out on the washing line to dry naturally in the breeze.
