My inspiration for making this Brooch was to try and capture the delicate features of the plant, while being durable to everyday wear and tear. I love intricate detail and as with all my Designs I wanted to create a " one off " piece of Artwork. Holly has evergreen or deciduous foliage and is used traditionally at Christmas as ornamental Green, decorations. Some species leaves are used in medicine, for such things as coughs & digestive disorders, however the pretty Red Berries are very poisonous. This unique and individual piece of Artwork, is a beautiful and delicate Brooch, which would appeal to nature lovers and romantics. It would make a Unique Gift to mark any occasion or celebration and will perhaps become an Antique of the Future........
