Turquoise Education
Reconstituted turquoise is poor grade genuine turquoise off cuts ground down to a power form with added man made substances to be reformed into dyed beads. Some manufacturing processes include making black/ brown markings to imitate genuine stabilised turquoise.

A beautiful pair of earrings designed and hand crafted in Cornwall using genuine stabilised turquoise. All other components are 925 sterling silver.
Stabilised turquoise is a recognised treatment by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to strengthen turquoise which is a naturally soft mineral. The GIA are the recognised authority world wide for grading, education and valuers for coloured gemstones.
Natural stabilised turquoise is extremely expensive to purchase worldwide within the industry even in bead form. It must not be confused with reconstituted turquoise or dyed howelite (both often illogically described and sold as genuine turquoise)!
These earrings will make a perfect quality gift for ladies whom love owning and wearing this gemstone on a daily basis to frame the face. It's natural markings are mesmerising and each gemstone bead has it's own distinctive characteristics.
