The simple and elegant design will compliment a day time or eveining attire. During my recent travels to Barcelona, Spain; I had the chance to visit Sagrada Familia (the temple that Gaudi envisaged for the city); the Park Guell - where Gaudi again created some amazing designs. I was inspired by the beautiful colours; shapes and the magic the mosaics created when touched by the light. I wanted re-create that theme and capture it in the form of jewellery; re-using the glass shards that were shaped by the sea. Each sea glass shard was hand picked by myself on the shores in Barcelona; hand painted and oven fired. Gaudi used shards of tiles to crate some of his iconic mosaics; which now adorn some of the buildings in Barcelona; or can be seen in the Park.
