About this item
This wood wall panel is mounted with 3 running sanderling. I have hand carved each bird from a sheet of 10mm lime. They have glass eyes and each has raised leg detail to give the impression of depth. They have been hand painted with artists acrylics and are mounted on a beautifully grained 8mm thick ash panel with an additional strip cut along the grain beneath their running feet. The whole panel has been finished with wax to give a soft shine and it is hung from a simple piece of twine. It is 21cm x 46cm excluding twine.

I had a beautiful wood panel that made me think of ripples in the sand, perfect for a wading bird.

Everything is so incredibly stunning! I can't help but smile every time I see the lovely birds. Both me and my dad said it's like they're alive, haha. The spirit of the animal is truly captured in each piece, and it's just a wonder to behold. If I were rich and had plenty of space, I'd fill a house with these beautiful birds! There's so much talent and love in every piece from this amazing artist!!
