If you're shopping for a handmade baby gift on a budget, this might be just the thing! I've hand knit this cute little hat using a pure kettle dyed merino wool that is beautifully soft and warm and shouldn't irritate delicate skin as some itchy wools might. The colour of this hat is variegated shades of blue called Oceanos, and the hat is knit in the round, so is totally seamless, and therefore very comfy for baby. It also has a cute little tassel to ensure that nobody takes your baby pixie TOO seriously... The hat when measured flat is 14" or 35.5cm circumference and 6" or 15 cm high, measured from the brim (when curled and relaxed) to the top of the hat, just under the tassel. The wool and the stitch I've used is nice and elastic and when stretched onto a head, it should fit up to 18" or 45.5cm. The photos show the front of the hat, then the back, the side, a stack of hats in a range of colours and, finally, baby Sienna in a hot pink hat (thanks to Grandma Sue)!
