About this item
I forge these lovely little basket twist marble lantern baubles in my Dartmoor Workshop and Forge. They look magical and lantern like and speak of a rustic charm and warmth redolent of the best of the Christmas and Festive Season. Each will be unique as no two handmade items are completely identical. The lantern is made from 4mm diameter iron that I forge into the basket shape and the glass marble centre is about 20mm in diameter. The marbles are sourced from a local marble and glass museum. The whole bauble is about 9 cm long and 3 cm wide and weighs about 50 grams. The branches of your tree will easily support it. The hanger is made from copper, brazed to the bauble. I've made the hanger long so you can shorten if needed. Even the wonderful glass marbles have lots of variations and no two are alike.
