Hanging Decorations, Copper and Striped Dichroic Glass

Copper & striped glass hanging decoration. Entirely handcrafted with pure copper and dichroic glass. I began by creating the centre piece, the dichroic glass is made by layering clear and coated glass together then kiln firing where it forms a natural pebble shape. I have made the base of the dropper using pure copper sheet, cut, shaped and soldered by hand designed to fit the cabachon perfectly. I made the outer copper circle from copper wire, shaped soldered and forged in a steel die to give it a wavy effect, securely joined together with the dichroic glass dropper. Finished with waxed cord and a stainless steel bead for hanging. Decoration measures approx 3 inches across. Each piece of jewellery or metal art is handcrafted by me to my own designs using quality materials purchased in the UK.
