About this item
This 6.5cm x 4.5cm glass panel is made with Bullseye pink and purple glass powders. These were added to a small sheet of white glass to create the sea and sky. Then blue-black powder is added to make the Holy Island shape. These are then fired with another piece of clear on top. After that, a second firing fuses a piece of clear glass on top to seal in the decal. Then, in a second firing, the added detail of birds, made from home-printed decals, is fused on, and a small hand-painted boat is done in enamel. Then, it is glued onto a small piece of glass set in a 3cm x 2 cm x 5 cm wooden block to make it free-standing.
