Textile Art, Embroidered Art, Mounted Wall Art - Floral Fantasy

Floral Fantasy is a piece of mounted textile art depicting an unusual textured floral design. The background features a piece of my handmade fabric which I made by using small offcut scraps of fabric in shades of lilac, pale green and duck-egg blue. I laid them out, covered them with a piece of white organza, and used free-motion machine embroidery to stitch a swirled pattern in white thread. The large flowers consist of my hand-made Suffolk puffs in plum purple and dusky lilac fabrics. I've used buttons in similar colours for the smaller flowers. The zesty green stems have been hand embroidered, Finally I've added some smaller hand embroidered plum and lilac flowers in the foreground along with some tiny white ones. The artwork is mounted on a square acid-free backing board and finished with a white aperture mount, and is ready to be framed. It is presented in a cellophane sleeve for protection. This piece of unique and original textile art would add colour, texture and interest to a wall. It would also make a lovely and unique gift. The approximate measurements of the artwork are: Mount - approx. 8 inches (20cm) square. Aperture/textile art – approx. 6 inches (15cm) square. Accessories for illustration purposes only. Handmade with love and care by Pocketful Creations.
