Natural History Ephemera — British Wildlife & Botanical Collection

A carefully curated collection of 52 vintage natural-history images (though many are double sided to increase your choice) selected from antiquarian and vintage wildlife, scientific and gardening books dating from the 1920s to the 1980s. These are for anyone who loves the charm of old natural-history books, botanical plates, wildlife illustration and the slightly imperfect beauty of vintage print. Each pack contains a different selection, but you can expect a wonderfully varied mixture of: -Scientific and educational illustrations -Engravings and black-and-white illustrations -Colour plates and vintage printed imagery -The occasional more exotic botanical subject The imagery has been selected from genuine vintage and antiquarian publications rather than being digitally generated or made to look artificially old. There is no AI-generated artwork here and no attempt to manufacture a "vintage" aesthetic digitally. The appeal is in the real printing, illustration styles, typography, paper character and imperfections of historical source material. Some pieces are beautifully crisp; others have the gentle fading, texture and quirks you'd expect from decades-old printed material. Those little imperfections are part of their character. The photographs show examples of the kind of imagery included, but the exact contents of each pack will vary. Each is assembled as an individual assortment, so your pack will have its own combination of subjects, colours and illustration styles. There may be a fox beside a botanical plate, a dragonfly beside a bird engraving, or a beautiful old scientific illustration. Each pack also contains small acetates made from my own garden and wildlife photography, together with hand-cut and die-cut botanical and animal shapes created from my own handmade gel-print papers.
