About this item
Set of minimalist leather keyring and bookmark. Both handmade in Cornwall, using brown Walpier Buttero leather, a premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather produced in Tuscany. Each piece is handmade in my atelier and is designed to last and age beautifully. The keyring's split ring and rivet are solid brass and made in England. What is vegetable-tanned leather? Vegetable tanning is an ancient technique which uses tree barks and plant extracts to tan leather. Unlike Chromium-tanned leather, which relies on synthetic chemicals and heavy water use, it is safe and sustainable. It ages beautifully and develops a unique patina. It lasts for decades and grows softer with daily use. Today, only 15% of leather worldwide is vegetable-tanned. I never use Chromium-tanned leather or cheap imports. What is vegetable-tanned leather?

I never use Chromium-tanned leather or cheap imports. All my packaging is plastic-free and recyclable.
