I love using upcycled fabric! I get so much pleasure from giving old, worn items a new life as I make it into something else. For me, upcycling shows my respect and appreciation for all that it takes to produce cloth - plants growing, materials harvested, yarn spun and cloth woven. Obviously most of this is done by machine now, but as I wove this piece I found myself reflecting on women from the past working with fabric. This beautifully boho wall hanging is woven onto a yarn wrapped embroidery hoop. Materials: Upcycled cotton, cotton macrame yarn, upcycled t-shirt cotton, acrylic yarn. Size: 33cm x 33cm
