Upcycled Black Silver Sequin Blazer Cape Gothic Boho Alternative Statement Wear

A truly unusual one of a kind black and silver sequin blazer cape, created from a collection of reclaimed and pre loved textiles. This statement piece began life as a thrifted black blazer jacket with a stained inner lining. Rather than allowing the jacket to go to waste, I gave it a completely new life by combining it with other unwanted textiles and reclaimed pieces. The flowing draped arms are created from a floral black and silver sequin stitched net scarf or shawl, giving the cape plenty of movement and sparkle. Remnants from a second satin feel scarf have been used to create the edging, while a reclaimed coordinating pendant has been stitched onto the collar to add a unique decorative detail. The open sided design makes this a versatile one size piece that can accommodate a wide range of sizes and can easily be layered over different outfits. Measurements lying flat are approximately 92 cm across and 45 cm in length of the main jacket section. Wear it over a simple black dress for dramatic eveningwear, with jeans and boots for alternative styling, or as a statement layer for festivals, concerts and special occasions. Perfect for gothic, boho, alternative, festival and dark glamour wardrobes. Ideal for parties, evenings out, Christmas celebrations, Halloween, festivals, concerts, weddings, theatre and other special occasions. As with all my upcycled creations, pre loved and reclaimed materials may show small signs of their previous life. These are part of the character and individuality of the finished piece. Created with sustainability in mind, giving unwanted textiles a new purpose rather than allowing them to go to waste. This is a one of a kind creation and there will not be another exactly the same.
