About this item
My work is a reflection of my surroundings and includes foraged, and pressed elements. These earrings are small sections of a larger mixed media and feature hand drawn generic umbellifers. Above these there are small pieces of white oak. Check out the beautiful star shape in the centre of the small branch from which they came. Mother nature is the best designer. Above the white oak there are green agate beads. Every season I create a new mixed media art work that reflects the botanical elements of that time and it sometimes includes pressed flowers and leaves along with illustrations. Each art work is cut in to the shapes of pendants, brooches and earrings, has a wood veneer applied and is coated with a bio resin and and eco resin. The end result of my process is a glass like finish. Each piece can be kept shiny with a simple soft polishing cloth.
