One of my new years resolutions this year is to read no dystopian fiction this year as the world is dystopian enough. So far I have managed it, but it appears I’m drawing them instead… I’m not sure that’s entirely what I had in mind! When I showed this to my five year old, she said ‘Oh no daddy he’s digging up the train, stop him!’, but alas I couldn’t as this is a drawing, sorry Ida. I’ve been working on this one for a while. During the making of it I picked up Covid-19, which took quite a while to properly shake off, but that might have been due to another bad thing happening which I won’t go into yet. Either way these two things may have either hindered or helped the final outcome (depending on your opinion of the drawing), but if you think this is the product of a deranged mind you probably haven’t seen anything yet…
