About this item
A unique hand turned, Burr Elm bowl incorporating a natural ('Live') edge. This bowl has distinctive, intense wavy grain lines shifting between light golden brown and deep amber. The dark, clustered Burl ('Burr or Eyes') are from the 'bumpy' tree outgrowth and yields a highly sought after decorative grain. The tightly packed lines surrounding the Burr show where the tree grew around the Burl. This bowl has been finished with Danish oil, so can be used either as food container or simply a decorative table/sideboard centerpiece. Size of item is 205mm (8") Diameter and 40 mm (1.5") total height. I have signed and dated underneath of bowl.
