“I wanted to create a cheeseboard that had a little more personality than an ordinary serving board. Monkey Puzzle wood has such incredible natural character, with its unusual grain patterns, knots and colours providing something different wherever you look. I wanted to complement that natural beauty with an engraving that would make people smile – a cheeky little mouse enjoying two of life's great pleasures: cheese and a glass of wine!
The cast iron ‘CHEESEBOARD’ handle adds a traditional, rustic touch, bringing together the natural beauty of the timber with a little old-fashioned character. My inspiration was to create something that isn't simply useful, but becomes a talking point when it's brought to the table – something that makes people smile before they've even started on the cheese.”

A truly unique, handcrafted cheeseboard made from beautiful Monkey Puzzle wood, featuring incredible natural grain patterns and character throughout the timber.
Measuring approximately 8 inches wide and 11 and a half inches long, and 1 and a half inches thick, this board has been carefully shaped, sanded and finished to showcase the wonderful colours, knots and flowing grain of the Monkey Puzzle.
Adding a touch of fun and personality is a beautifully engraved illustration of a smiling little mouse sitting upright, enjoying a piece of cheese while sipping a glass of wine. It makes the board feel like more than just a serving piece – it has its own little story and character.
The board is finished with a sturdy cast iron handle, complete with “CHEESEBOARD” proudly inscribed into the metal. The combination of the naturally striking Monkey Puzzle, traditional cast iron and playful engraving creates a lovely rustic yet characterful piece.
Perfect for serving cheese, crackers, cured meats, grapes, fruit and other nibbles, particularly when entertaining friends and family. It would also make a fantastic gift for a cheese lover, wine lover or anyone who appreciates unusual handmade pieces.
