The outside is made from a black and white cotton fabric decorated with cow-like patches of colour. The lining is a yellow food-safe, waterproof fabric known as PUL - more details below. Our sandwich bags are constructed similar to a pillowcase. There are no fastenings or awkward corners to trap crumbs. PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate - a soft, waterproof, breathable fabric, manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. It is safe for food use as it does not give off any toxic chemicals. The waterproofing comes from a thin layer of plastic which has been bonded to polyester fabric. It has been tested for at least 300 washes. Whilst not totally plastic free, using these products could significantly reduce your use of plastic bags, films and boxes.
