There is something so restorative about standing where the garden meets the water. Waters Edge is my interpretation of that cool, quiet margin...where the air feels lighter and the colours seem to be singing.
This piece is all about contrast and energy, I've layered cool blues, with soft zesty lime greens to create a sense of freshness, then highlighted the scene with hot, vibrant pops of colour. To keep the piece feeling light and airy, I've added loose, expressive mark-making, these intuitive strokes that capture the imagination.
This painting is full of movement and life, created to bring a sense of the great outdoors...and add a splash of modern botanical style into your home.
Medium - Original mixed media, Acrylic, pencils, pastels on canvas. Loose marks, and layers of scribbles that reveal more detail the closer you look.
