About this item
During the Spring of 2025 I walked, wrote and painted my way around London's Capital Ring, in a quest to discover more about a city I had long professed my love for but knew startlingly little of. A psychogeography of sorts, with plenty of tangents and no directions. London is a living, moving painting in creation; it's constantly reworked. The most interesting things about it seem to lie in the unintended consequences of grand ideas. Wildflowers on rubble. Floating communities and verdant leisure spaces in disused industrial waterways. Glossy new buildings aging into their true shape. Territory is fought over - vibrant neighbourhoods cede to bland office districts. Parakeets assemble in the sky and terrapins in the water. The book is an A5 sized, full-colour hardback, featuring over 65 original illustrations. 104 pages.

What buyers say about Umbra Press
The Botanical Oracle cards are visually so beautiful that I kept one for myself and ordered another as a gift. The artwork is incredible and the words and accompanying booklet offer wisdom, truth and folklore combined. Perfect as a gift, a piece of art or for cosy self reflections. Thank you!
