About this item
A 2-colour screenprint entitled 'Donkey Abstract No.5' printed in fluorescent orange and warm grey. This is the fifth in a recent series taking the donkey landscapes in an event more abstract direction. For this one, I experimented with mark-making and the line between figurative and abstract composition. I like to champion donkeys in a lot of my artwork. They are rarely celebrated in art, so I feel like it is maybe my job to do so! Fluorescent orange and warm grey inks on Antique White Seawhite 290gsm acid-free paper. From an edition of 24, signed, titled and numbered. The print image measures H19.2xW14.6cm. The paper measures H21xW14.85cm All prints will be posted unframed, flat in a cellophane sleeve and protective packaging. I created this print alongside a 'companion print' entitled 'Donkey Abstract No.4'. You can see this print here, and also buy them both together at a small discount: https://folksy.pro/items/8628861-Donkey-Abstract-No-4-two-colour-A5-screen-print https://folksy.pro/items/8628865-Donkey-Abstract-No-4-and-No-5-two-colour-A5-screen-prints

Donkeys...Where do I start? I've been creating prints of donkeys for quite a while now. They are a constant source of inspiration; their awkwardness, confusion, modesty and charm, to name a few things!
