This gorgeous wool-linen blend blue messenger bag is made from a recycled suit jacket with the original lining and orange and yellow check detailing. This over-the-shoulder messenger bag has one outside pocket and three inside pockets, with an adjustable strap. The bag is made from 30% wool, 37% silk and 33% linen. Handmade and designed by me, it is ideal for a laptop, newspaper, student notes or just a couple of good books! This bag has its original tailoring label, placing it from Edgbaston, Birmingham. The bag measures approximately 40cm in width, 30cm high and 10cm in depth. It is a soft-body bag, i.e. it has no rigid lining on the sides or base. This allows it to take the shape of whatever you have in it, and it also hugs the body when empty. The strap material is made from nylon webbing, and both the plastic buckles and webbing are from a UK supplier. Bespoke bags can be made to order from old jackets. You can cancel the order and get a refund from the maker within 14 days of receipt, provided the item has not been used. Faulty items can be returned within six months of payment being made.

My ethos is to reuse items for other uses, and the quality comes from the design and build of each unique bag. This is a one-off product and can be found nowhere else in the world! I draw a lot of inspiration from the jacket's design and the nature of recycling. I like to include all of the original pockets and labels from the suit, and this often determines the final look of each bag. All the suit jackets I use are found from charity shops or are gifted to me to give them new life!
