About this item
This listing is for one stained glass stretching cat made with wispy brown glass that captures the look of soft fur. The face is created with wire overlap and copper foil that has been soldered into place. It is a one of a kind piece and would make a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves cats. It can be displayed in many ways but it is not watertight. The finished piece, is about twenty one and a half centimetres long, six centimetres wide and five centimetres high at the back. Each section is hand cut and crafted using the Tiffany foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is wrapped in copper foil, soldered and cleaned and sometimes finished with patina. Craft glass has natural variations that make every cat original. Colours are shown as accurately as possible in the photographs. Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy. Price is for the glass item only. Postage cost is for 48-hour tracked medium parcel delivery. This cost reflects the size of the item once packaged for safe arrival.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This design was inspired by the gentle stretch a cat makes when it wakes or pauses in a sunny spot. The wispy brown glass suggests soft fur and movement, while the wire face adds a friendly and expressive touch. It is a small character piece that brings warmth and personality to a shelf, wall or window.
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
