Lovely large fused glass heart pendant, I love to see the sheep and being able to see the moon while its still daylight when I'm out and about on one of my walks so I have combined both in this design.
I have created the pendant using using modelling glass, made by mixing glass powders combined with organic binders to make a clay. I have selected three colours of glass for this, each mixed separately and then combined them to create the landscape background colours. I have then shaped dried and sanded the pendant before firing it in the kiln to become a solid piece of glass.
Once cooled the glass pendant has then been hand painted using glass enamels and then fired in the kiln for a second time.
I use a digitally controlled kiln and the piece is fully annealed at each stage.
The pendant is finished with a 925 sterling silver leaf shape flat pad bail fixed to the back.
Supplied with a 1.4mm 925 sterling silver diamond cut belcher chain in a choice of 16, 18 or 20 inches.
