THE ARTWORK
The set includes designs from my range of aviation cards, all taken from my original oil paintings, created to commemorate the bravery of the pilots involved in the Battle of Britain, 1940, during WW2.
The cards included are:
- 'The Polish Defence' - Hurricanes of F/O. S. Witorzenc and P/O. P. Zenker, 501 Squadron, Royal Air Force, 1940.
- 'Stirring the Hornets' Nest' - Hurricanes of 'Treble One', No. 111 Squadron, near Kenley, 1940.
- 'Two Minutes to Close' - Hurricane of F/Lt. H. a' B. Russell, 32 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Sussex, 1940.
- 'Brief Peace over the Estuary' - Hurricane of No. 111 Squadron, August 1940.
