About this item
You've got to be careful, bandying the word "modern" around in a book title as nothing stays modern for very long. The beauty of this thoroughly illustrated hardback book by Linda Schäpper, dating from 1984, is that it takes traditional quilt blocks and gives them an interesting twist, which to our eyes now seem timeless in their attractiveness. She also takes us on a journey through patchwork traditions of the world. Packed with black and white illustrations and templates and a selection of colour plates, this is an essential addition to a patchworker's library.
