Thank you for popping into my shop! I’m a retired Graphic Designer, but thankfully I haven’t retired from being creative. I still love the process of making things, experimenting with colour, pattern and texture, and giving new life to all sorts of materials.
You’ll find a colourful and eclectic mix of handmade pieces in my shop, with birds and flowers featuring strongly throughout. I particularly enjoy combining unexpected materials, patterns and colours to create unique mixed-media pieces — so there’s always something a little different to discover.
I’m also a big believer in happy postage! If you find more than one item you’d like, I ALWAYS combine postage and refund any excess. I know it can be a little alarming to see the postage total increase as you add items to your basket, but please don’t worry. I’ll package your purchases together and refund the excess postage on the same day your order is dispatched.

A colourful celebration of cosy cat naps, 'Snoozing grey tabby' is a quirky, original textile artwork that would make a lovely gift for a cat lover - or a cheerful addition to your own home.
The sleeping grey tabby has been created from a print of my own illustration, which I've brought to life with layers of acrylic paint and embroidery. To give him a wonderfully whimsical feel, I've added little flowers and leaves across his back and head, echoing the colours and shapes of the floral trim beneath him.
The base is made from a strip of pretty floral embroidered trim, which I've given a gentle wash of acrylic paint to create a soft, vintage-inspired appearance. A richly patterned batik fabric forms the background, adding another layer of colour and texture.
A sprinkling of gold seed beads and sequins adds tiny flashes of sparkle, catching the light amongst the flowers and giving this sleepy little fellow an extra touch of charm.
With its mix of fabric, paint, embroidery, beads and vintage-inspired details, this is a unique handmade piece full of colour and personality - purrfect for anyone who believes there's nothing quite as irresistible as a sleeping cat!
And if you're giving it as a gift, I've also made a matching gift tag to accompany it.
The artwork comes in a white mount measuring approx 20x25cm outer with a 12x17cm aperture. It is titled and signed on reverse.
