Beautiful black jet is an organic material, formed from carbonised wood and water. It has been popular in jewellery since Victorian times when Queen Victoria wore jet jewellery whilst mourning Prince Albert. Crystal collectors believe jet to have a grounding influence and It's organic composition makes it beautifully lightweight to wear. This dainty, understated pendant is the perfect introduction to this amazing organic gemstone. This pretty pendant has been made from an 8 mm jet bead, hand wrapped in a delicate knot work of sterling silver wire, reminiscent of a celtic knot. It finished with an 18 inch sterling silver trace chain, ready to wear or gift. This beautiful black jet is perfect for coordinating with dark colours. This pendant is a delicate size, perfect for wearing every day. These particular pendants are approximately 19 mm long to the top of the jump ring by 10 mm wide. Every knot work pendant I make is unique due to the characteristics of natural gemstones and the instinctive way the wire is hand formed around the beads, this makes each one I make extra special. For this particular listing I will instinctively choose a beautiful black jet bead and your pendant will be made to order. I have been creating beautiful sterling silver jewellery from my home studio in Scotland since 2018. All my jewellery is solid 925 sterling silver and all pendants include an 18" chain as standard (longer chains may be available but additional payment is required as they vary in price- please contact me to discuss before placing your order!) Orders dispatch using Tracked 48 post as standard.
