About this item
A handmade pincushion and needlebook set. All pieces are individually hand cut. The pincushion has a firm recycled cardboard base covered with cream/red/green spot cotton. This has a red/white gingham ribbon trim with one red and two green buttons. The pincushion part is made from red felt stuffed with fibrefill and fixed firmly into the circular cardboard base. Three round headed pins are included. Measures: Dia: 3.5”(9cm). H: approx. 2”(5cm) The needlebook is a lightweight padded card folded to form a book, covered with cream/red/green spot cotton. The outside has a red/white gingham ribbon trim with one red and two green button decorations. Inside the book is lined with red felt hand stitched around the edge with blanket stitch in red embroidery cotton. A leaf of dark green felt for holding needles has been inserted with toning colours of embroidery cotton. The book has two narrow green ribbon ties to close. Measures: Open: 8”(20cm) x 4”(10cm) Closed: 4”(10cm) x 4”(10cm) The pincushion and needlebook come in a plain white card box suitable to give as a gift, if necessary.
