About this item
These textile brooches are made by stitching sari ribbons and remnants onto hessian. I have added recycled African glass beads to the flower, a silk tassel and reused beads to represent the stamens. Each brooch is backed with a coordinating cotton. Each brooch is different and therefore makes a unique gift. Approx size 12cm ( including tassel and beads) x 7cm They are mounted on card and include information about they are made and are protected by a cellophane envelope. The sari silks are sourced from women in N India providing them with an income. 10% of my sales go to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading so your purchase will be helpful people at home and abroad.
