About this item
This original floral art is created in mosaic and features Autumn Leaves on an Anthracite grey background. The leaves are from a London Plain tree and I created arrangement in a mix of earthy tones from light yellow to russet reds. I use beautiful Winckelmans tiles which are matt ceramic and come in soft muted tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire. Dimensions: 21 cm x 21 cm x 2.5cm Due to the wooden frame, this art is suitable for display indoors only. Each wall plaque is one of a kind but I am able to make more in a similar design and colour palette on request. I am also open to commission, just contact me for a chat.

There is a huge, what I believe to be a London Plain tree, not far from my house. Last autumn on a dog walk, I found myself staring down at the pavement at this beautiful arrangement of leaves. It was a perfect collection of every colour combination. There are so many cuts on this piece and took a long time but I’m going to create more. Smaller though!
By nature, mosaic is a rough, tactile surface and care should be taken when handling your artwork.
