About this item
Hand-knotted sea-worn shell crystal bead necklace, created using white linen thread, crystal rondelle beads, opaque glass beads and a beautifully smooth, tactile and softly textured shell fragment. The crystal beads are faceted to catch the light. I’ve used shades of grey to echo the soft grey of the shell. The smaller crystal beads are cut from jade. I’ve added green glass beads to contrast and add a pop of colour. This necklace measures 18 inches long, with a 2 inch stainless steel extension chain, lobster clasp and a tiny Tibetan silver charm detail at the end. It will be carefully packaged in a recycled cardboard jewellery box, and sent via Royal Mail second class.

☆ all the seaglass and pebbles you see in my work has been used as found. Decades of rolling about in the sea has worked its beautiful magic. ☆ your item will be posted using recycled packaging, which isn't incredibly attractive, but it serves its purpose. And anyway, it's what's inside that counts. : )

I loved finding this smooth, sea worn fragment of shell, with its lightly, perfectly textured surface. It had to become something, so it became this. It’s quite a beautiful, mysterious thing. Maybe you know someone like that?
