About this item
This mosaic is included in the Summer Seconds simply because it is one of my early pieces. This original floral art is created in mosaic and features a delicate Foxglove design in shades of pink and cream on a white background. This piece has pale, pastel shades and wispy green stems for a romantic feel. I use beautiful Winckelmans tiles which are matt ceramic and come in soft muted tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire. Dimensions: 21 cm x 16 cm x 2.5 cm Due to the wooden base, this art is suitable for display indoors only. Each wall plaque is one of a kind but I am able to make more in a similar colour palette on request. I am also open to commission, just contact me for a chat.

I’m inspired by plants and flowers all around me. I grew these foxgloves from seed. I was so excited to see them so they had to appear in my next piece.
By nature, mosaic is a rough, tactile surface and care should be taken when handling your artwork.
