Trinket Bowl made from Coiled Rope and Floral Fabric

This lovely trinket bowl has been made from cotton rope, which has been coiled and machine-stitched into a bowl shape. During this process, sections of the rope have been wrapped with strips of fabric, giving a pretty striped effect to the finished dish. The rope is a natural ivory colour, and the fabric is ivory with a ditsy floral pattern in pretty shades of blue, green and touches of brown. The dish has been finished with a decorative loop and two wooden buttons, one on the inside and one on the outside of the bowl. The natural wood buttons are inscribed with the words "Handmade" and two tiny hearts. This lovely dish can be used to store all sorts of knick-knacks, or just left empty as decorative ornament. It would make a lovely gift, perhaps for a new home.
