About this item
This versatile canister pot has a cardboard core, covered in a seascape cotton print swatch hand embroidered by me with the text ‘Oh I do like to be beside the seaside’. The rim is painted with acrylic paint on paper. The pot makes a lovely container for brushes, pencils, crochet hooks etc. and even a posy of artificial flowers. Perfect for keeping a work table tidy, or just as something pretty on a shelf. Height 10cm approx. Diameter 5cm approx.

We are lucky to live only a few miles from the coast where the sea provides a full range of moods and emotions according to the weather conditions. I have been working on some more functional pieces for my embroidery under the banner ‘useful art’. My aim is to incorporate my embroidery pieces into items that people can use as well as look at and enjoy.
