About this item
A limited edition lino print of an historic Derbyshire sandstone building in the picturesque Peak District village of Rowsley. Originally built in the 1600s as a Manor House it has been an Inn and Hotel since the 1800s The Peacock Hotel is part of the Haddon estate in the wonderful Derbyshire Peak district. It has a rich history and holds many memories of family events and occasions as well as a very interesting guest book. Many a famous actor has resided in this beautiful Country Hotel. Printed on A3 heavyweight cartridge paper using Caligo safe wash inks in tones of golden yellow and black. This is a multiblock linoprint and is inked with a graduated golden yellow background and therefore there will be slight variations. Each one has been handprinted on my etching press. Will fit a standard 30 x 40 frame. Size of image approx 21 X 30 cm Edition of 35 The print is unframed and unmounted in a protective sleeve Will be sent via second class Royal Mail. The designs are from my own original drawings or artwork which I transfer to the Lino then carve away for days sometimes weeks. Before finally inking and printing using a press. This process is repeated several times to produce a multi coloured print. Rowsley is a lovely place to start a walk close to both Haddon Hall and Chatsworth house. The Peacock's guest book has some well known signatures and is also a favourite destination for fly fishing
