The ear shape is most effective if the hat fits the head fairly snugly. The Cat Ear Beanie series has been designed to create a little bit of fun and magic, transforming a simple beanie hat into the appearance of cat - or in this case fox - ears when worn. Wear the Fox Hat is the first in the series! Inspired by those sly, bushy tailed visitors of rural and urban gardens alike, this features a plain stitched orange upper and a silver-cream ribbed brim. Please note that this listing is for a sample hat which has been crafted using lighter weight DK yarn rather than the chunky I would normally use for this style. There are no other faults or flaws. This is reflected in the lower sale price, but also means the hat is suitable for the transitional evenings of spring as the weather hopefully warms up a little. The yarn used for this one is 100% premium acrylic and can be machine washed on a 30C delicate cycle. However, for best results I recommend handwash only in cool water, and air dry flat.
