About this item
This crochet hook has been hand-carved by my from lilac wood from my gran's garden. It's been polished and test-driven to ensure that no snags remain to annoy you while crocheting. This carving followed the natural curve of the stick, so the hook has quite a bend in it. It works well, though, and the shape adds to its quirky charm. The handle is about 12mm thick and has been sanded and polished smooth. Overall length of the hook is about 125mm.

I try to spend some time at my gran's cottage in the woods every year. It's a good time to slow down and spend some time carving, and I always find new interesting types of wood to try my hand on.
