I have designed this 'patchwork' to showcase some really lovely vintage French and English cotton prints, which I have put with some of my own hand-dyed plains in toning shades. Onto the plains I have stitched applique hearts cut from my own dyed cottons and I have added some tiny vintage buttons too. Each of the tiny fabric squares is hand-stitched into place and the whole design is set within a running stitch grid. The frame is lightly distressed whitened wood measuring 10"/25.5cms square, the title: Vintage Fabrics 'Patchwork Quilt' is written on the mount and it is signed. The work will arrive glazed, corded, ready to hang, with my studio stamp on the back. I always pack my work with great care so it will arrive with you in perfect condition. You will only pay only one delivery charge of £5.50 (1st Class Royal Mail) no matter how many items are in your basket. All cards are post free. Ref: E029(EMB459)

I love collecting vintage cotton prints, slightly faded with age, and in colours not seen since modern dyes came on the scene. A pretty bit of recycling!
