About this item
This elegant necklace in a netted design was inspired by the colours of stained glass and would go well with both smart and casual outfits. It looks especially beautiful worn against dark colours. Faceted 4mm firepolish Czech glass beads in rich shades of blue and red, yellow and green have been encased in a netting stitch made with tiny shiny black seed beads. This makes a substantial but elegant looking necklace with medium flexibility and drape. A chunky silver-plated toggle clasp completes the piece making it easy to fasten and unfasten whilst, as long as the pieces of the clasp are engaged properly, also makes the fastening secure. The necklace is 46cms (18.1ins) long and about 1cm (0.4ins) in diameter. The necklace will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and posted in a sturdy cardboard box for safe travel. The netted design is a fairly classic beadweaving design. The beads are actually stitched into place inside their 'net'. Any available colours can be used. For this necklace I was trying to replicate the beautiful colours of a stained glass window.
