Floral 'Pastels' Happy Birthday fabric banner

Vintage style Happy Birthday banner created from a lovely mix of leftover snippets of fabric, including some beautiful Liberty and Tilda remnants. I decided to use a mix of pastel shades although I have also made a 'bright' version if you are looking for something bolder; see my other items. The banner has been created from white vintage cotton and features the wording 'Happy Birthday'. The lettering has been cut by hand and then machine-appliqued in place. It is edged in a co-ordinating pink, blue and green floral bias binding and has two hanging loops at the top with a button trim. The banner is backed with the same white cotton fabric. Please be aware that the cotton fabric is cut from vintage sheeting and, as such, may have the odd blemish or flaw. Each banner will be a one-off, so although I will be making more they won't be exactly the same depending on fabrics available and binding. This would look lovely as part of a Birthday celebration and is the perfect antidote to plastic decorations. I have shown it decorating my own dresser and have used some sticky hooks to hang it in place. Alternatively you could use drawing pins or pegs to display it. The banner measures approximately 96cm long x 18cm wide. Please note this is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of babies and small children.
